AskWhisper + Gmail

Your Gmail inbox, answered with the full booking in view

The short answer

Yes, AskWhisper connects to Gmail. Traveller email lands in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp and Instagram, with the matching booking already attached and a reply already drafted. Your address stays yours and your archive stays where it is: AskWhisper reads what arrives and drafts what goes back.

Where Gmail sits

Travellers are on top, on the channels they already use. Your own systems sit underneath, where the real numbers live. AskWhisper is the layer between: it reads from one and answers on the other.

What flows, and which way

Your mailbox stays yours. AskWhisper reads what arrives, drafts what goes back, and leaves your archive where it is.

What you can expect

Three things your team feels the week it goes live.

  • Your inbox stops being a backlog

Traveller email arrives sorted, read and mostly already answered. Your team approves replies rather than composing them from scratch.

  • Replies come with the booking attached

No hunting through the PMS to work out who is writing. The dates, the room and the history are on screen with the message.

  • Nothing falls through a thread

Email joins WhatsApp and webchat in one place, so a conversation that starts in chat and ends in email is still one conversation.

Getting connected

Three steps, all from your own mailbox.

  1. 1

    Connect your mailbox

You authorise AskWhisper from your own Gmail account. Your address stays yours and your archive stays where it is.

  2. 2

    Tell us about your property

Answer a short set of questions once. Replies are drawn from that, so they say what you would say.

  3. 3

    Go live

Mail starts arriving in the shared inbox with replies drafted. Nothing sends unless your rules say it can.

Questions hoteliers ask about connecting

Does AskWhisper work with Gmail?

Yes. Traveller email arrives in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp and Instagram, with the matching booking already attached and a reply already drafted. Your team approves rather than composes, and a conversation that starts in chat and ends in email stays one conversation.

How do I connect Gmail to AskWhisper?

You authorise AskWhisper from your own Gmail account, which takes a couple of minutes. Your address stays yours and your archive stays where it is - AskWhisper reads what arrives and drafts what goes back. Nothing sends unless the rules you set say it can.

Which PMS systems does AskWhisper integrate with?

AskWhisper integrates with Mews, Cloudbeds, Lighthouse, RoomRaccoon, Apaleo, protel, Clock PMS+ and MyTourist. Every one of them covers two-way reservation sync, traveller profile sync and messaging triggered by reservation events. The integrations page lists what each supports, and new connections are added in the order customers ask for them.

Can I connect AskWhisper to my access control system?

Yes. AskWhisper connects to Salto for electronic access control. Digital keys are generated from live reservation data and delivered to the guest on their phone, activating at check-in and expiring at checkout without anyone deactivating them. Your existing locks and door hardware stay exactly as they are.

How does AskWhisper handle digital key delivery?

Digital keys are generated from your live reservation data and delivered to the guest on their phone, through WhatsApp or the guest app. The key activates at check-in time and expires at checkout on its own. No plastic cards, no lockboxes and no manual handover at the desk.

What if I don't have a PMS?

Most of AskWhisper works without one. The website, the webchat, the knowledge base, the AI receptionist and the journey emails all run on the facts you give us. Connecting a PMS adds the reservation-aware parts: the shared inbox, and digital check-in and keys.

Which messaging channels can AskWhisper answer on?

AskWhisper answers on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Gmail, Outlook and the webchat on your own website. Every conversation lands in one shared inbox, so a traveller who asks on Instagram and follows up by email is still a single thread for your team.

How long does it take to connect my PMS?

Most connections take a few minutes. You authorise access from inside your own account, and reservations start flowing straight away. There is nothing to install and no data to migrate. From that first connection to a fully live property, most hotels are running within a few days.

Does my data have to move to AskWhisper?

No. Your PMS stays the system of record and your data stays where it is. AskWhisper reads from it live and writes back only what it changes, like a confirmed upsell or a completed check-in. Disconnect the integration and your PMS is exactly as it was.

What happens if I switch PMS later?

You connect the new one and disconnect the old one. Your website, knowledge base, messages and journeys live in AskWhisper rather than in the PMS, so none of that has to be rebuilt. Changing PMS is a connection swap, not a migration.
